Our directive is to motivate Students to stay in school until they graduate. Our primary technique is utilizing an intensive and rigorous “bootcamp” styled, short-term program, (RePowerUp! is NOT a bootcamp)
What is Truancy Intervention?
Truancy Intervention is a tough, rigorous, four-hour program. RePowerUp! hosts the program for Students who have found themselves on the wrong side of the law; usually for skipping school, fighting, or being disruptive in class. Our Truancy Intervention is also for students who have not yet lost their way, but are on the fast-track in that direction.
What do you know about Truancy Laws?
The best way to avoid having to deal with truancy court and fines is to have a better understanding of truancy law.RePowerUp! offers a four-hour Orientation Workshop for parents who have been ordered by the court to attend a workshop in conjunction with the Student who has been ordered to attend a four-hour Truancy Workshop.
Helping Parents regain control of the home
“It takes a village to raise a child” is the philosophy of Parenting Intervention. While no one can tell a parent how to parent their child, every parent can use help managing their negative behaviors. RePowerUp! focuses on providing parents with the best possible solutions to regain control, establish rules, and the confidence to enforce them.
Behavioral Redirection
Sometimes, if we’re lucky, we can catch a child who’s only having negative behaviors such as being disruptive in class and/or at home. Catching Students at this point is an opportunity to redirect their behavior before the courts become involved.
Bullying
Our approach to Bullying is designed to show bullies the impact their negative acts have on others. and the long term effects it can have on them.

Serving the Courts
Make no mistake, truancy is a crime! RePowerUp! serves as an alternative program for all JP courts. The District Attorney has the option of ordering families to the program as a stipulation for any offense that the Student has been accused of committing. If a family or a Student is ordered to participate in one or more of our Workshops, RePowerUp! will require the family or Student’s full participation before a Certificate is issued.

RePowerUp! has a single directive; “Motivate Students to stay in school until they graduate.” Each of our Workshops are designed to meet our directive. We are tough on the Students and speak “straight-talk” to parents to make them understand the importance of education and the impact truancy and negative behaviors have in the short and long term.
